Hi,
I have just come across and old BT merlin in my loft. Wondering if I
could get it going but I get stuck at a keyboard error. Got the
following in it:
- CPU/RAM board (labelled so pretty sure that is it) - has an AT style
keyboard port, a radio-type switch and a 25 pin parellel-like port,

- Card connected to the 5.25" floppy - got a 9 pin female port and a 25
pin male with only pins 1-8 and 19-22 plus a phono socket. Phono socket
gives out a compoisite video signal

- Card with a 25 pin female socket - no idea what the card does - lots
of socketed chips in 'banks' (?RAM?)

- Newer looking card with 2 phono sockets, a dip switch and 9 pin
female socket.

- Card with no ports. Connects to the hard drive.

Model number is ZWE-158-A3

Any one know what any of these do?
I cant get a keyboard to work with it at the moment - I have plugged in
a ps2 keyboard using an AT adapter but I just get the error
incorrect/no keyboard signal.

Thanks
Matt

If you mean the Merlin Tonto then it is a Sinclair QL based machine.
If you can send pics, I can verify. (mail to quantumleap AT in dot gr)

"Merlin Tonto" translated from Spanish to English is "Idiot Merlin".

Well the WikiPedia entry is mine :-)
Regardless, I saw some BT models that beared the name "Merlin". He did not
say if it was the Tonto, only BT Merlin (which could have been anything ;-)
I was a little puzzled by the mentioning of a 5 1/4" drive so unless he
sends some pictures I really cannot tell :-)
